Quitaraju Mountain.

DAY 1: Huaraz - Cashapampa (2900 masl) - Llamacorral  (3750 masl).

We leave from Huaraz city towards north of Callejon de Huaylas, passing through cities as Carhuaz, Yungay and Caraz, following the Rio Santa and observing part of the Cordillera Blanca and Cordillera Negra, making short stops. Then we go to the Cashapampa Village, where we meet the donkey drivers and donkeys. The trekking starts here up to the place called Llamacoral where we camp. About 5 to 6 hours.

DAY 2: Llamacorral - Arhuaycocha Base Camp (4250 masl).

In our second day  we pass through Hichic Cocha (small lake) and Hatun Cocha (big lake), then observe  mountains as Aguja (5886 masl), Caraz (6025 masl), Abasraju (5765 masl), Quitaraju (6040 masl), Alpamayo (5947 masl, known as the most beautiful mountain in the world), Artesonraju (6025 masl), and ascend to the Arhuaycocha Base Camp in the Arhuaycocha Valley. About 4 to 5 hours.

DAY 3: Rest day.

DIA 4: Arhuaycocha Base Camp - Camp I (5450 masl).

This day we ascend  to the moraine, then over the ice towards the Camp I. About 5 to 6 hours.

DAY 5: Camp I - Quitaraju Summit (6040 masl) - Camp I.

We leave at dawn and climb a technical wall and reach the Summit, from where we can observe mountains such as Alpamayo (5947 masl), Santa cruz (6259 masl), Pucajircas (6050 masl), Taulliraju (5830 masl), Artesonraju (6025 masl),  Caraz (6025 masl), Aguja (5888 msnm), then descend to Camp I. About 8 to 9 hours.

DAY 6: Camp I - Base Camp.

We descend to Base Camp. About 4 to 5 hours.

DAY 7: Base Camp - Cashapampa - Huaraz.

In our return to the cashapampa village our private bus will be waiting for to take us back to Huaraz city.
