DAY 1. Huaraz - Caraz - Hualcayan (3150 masl).

We leave from Huaraz city,  towards north of Callejon de Huaylas, passing through cities as Carhuaz, Yungay, and Caraz, following the Rio Santa and observing part of the Cordillera Blanca and Cordillera Negra, making short stops. After having lunch we go to the Hualcayan village, where we camp, in this place there are small Arqueological remains as burial constructions or Chullpas.

DIA 2. Hualcayán - Huishcash (4320 msnm).

The trekking starts here, we walk up in a zig-zag path, with a panoramic view of landscapes as the hills of the Cordillera Blanca and the Rio Santa below and in the distance colorful fields, then reach the Huishcash campsite (Vizcacha in spanish), place with a stunning sunset. About 5 to 6 hours.

DAY 3. Huishcash - Osoruri Pass (4850 masl) - Osoruri (4550 masl).

Few minutes of the trek we can appreciate the Milluacocha mountain  (5480 masl) as well as the Yanacocha and Azulcocha lakes, then we reach the Cullicocha lake with a beautiful view of Santa Cruz mountain (6259 masl), and ascend to the Osoruri Pass, from this point we can observe the Cordillera Rosco or Champara, after descending we reach the Osoruri campsite. About 5 to 6 hours.

DAY 4. Osoruri - Vientuna Pass (4750 masl) - Jancarurish (4250 masl).

We walk in an ascending path to the Vientuna Pass, then descend in a zig-zag path, in the distance we can see Pre-inca cultivation terraces, and the Alpamayo village, where the population dedicates to farming, then we pass through the Ruinapampa Campsite, where it´s visible Arqueological remains, and reach the Jancarurish campsite, from where we can observe the imposing mountains as Tayapampa (5675 masl), Jancarurish (5578 masl), and the famous Alpamayo  (5947 masl, known as the most beautiful mountain in the world). About 5 to 6 hours.

DAY 5. Rest day.

It´s always recomended to visit the Jancarurish lake and the Base Camp of the Alpamayo (5947 masl) and Quitaraju (6040 masl) mountains, from this place we have views of mountains such as Pumapampa or Abasraju (5765 masl) and Santa Cruz (6259 masl), then return to campsite.

DAY 6. Jancarurish - Cara Cara Pass (4830 masl) - Huillcapampa (4000 masl).

We pass through small lakes, and observe for last time the mountains as Tayapampa (5675 masl), Jancarurish (5578 masl), Alpamayo (5947 masl), Quitaraju (6040 masl), Pumapampa or Abasraju (5765 masl) and  Santa Cruz (6259 masl), then ascend to the Cara Cara Pass, from where we can observe the Pilanco mountain (5300 masl) and descend through the Moyobamba Valley, belonging to Conchucos zone, and ascend again to Moyobamba Pass (4500 masl), from this pass we can observe the Pucajircas mountains (6050 masl) and the northeast face of Alpamayo mountain, and finally descend through Tayapampa Valley and reach the campsite in Huillcapampa. About 6 to 7 hours.

DAY 7. Huillcapampa - Yanajanca Pass (4650 masl) - Jancapampa (3500 masl).

We walk in an ascending path through Yanta Queñua Valley and reach the Yanajanca Pass, then descend through Laurel Valley and visit the Sactaycocha lake, and reach the Jancapamapa campsite, from where we can observe mountains as Taulliraju (5830 masl) Pucajircas (6050 masl), with the presence of many kids. About 5 to 6 hours.

DAY 8. Jancapampa - Tupa Tupa Pass (4400 masl) - Huecrococha (4100 masl).

After passing through Pingospampa Village, we´ll ascend to the Tupa Tupa Pass, from where we observe part of the Cordillera Blanca, then descend through Pingospampa Valley up to the Huecrococha lake, where we camp, observing the Pucaraju mountain (5090 masl). About 5 to 6 hours.

DAY 9. Huecrococha - Alto Pucaraju Pass (4650 masl) - Paria Valley (3870 masl).

From the Alto Pucaraju Pass we observe mountains as Taulliraju (5830 masl), Rinrijirca (5810 masl), Artesonraju (6025 masl), Paria (5600 masl), Pirámide (5885 masl), Chacraraju (6112 masl), and others, then reach the  Paria Campsite. About 5 to 6 hours.

DAY 10: Paria Valley - Molinopampa (3650 masl).

We pass through the Huaripampa Village, with the presence of kids asking for candies, pens, matches, and others, from this place we have the spectacular view of the Southeast face of Chacraraju (6112 masl), we also pass through other Villages as Yanachaca, Colcabamba and Chaluá, and reach the Molinopampa Campsite, from where we can observe mountains such as Cajavilca (5419 masl) and Contrahierbas (6036 masl). About 5 to 6 hours.

DAY 11: Molinopampa - Avalancha (4650 masl).

After leaving from Molinopampa Campsite we go to Avalanca campsite, ascending through Ulta Chico Valley, from the path we can observe the small Ichic Ulta lakes, and reach the Avalanche campsite, from where we can see continual avalanches from the Contrahierbas mountain (6036 masl) falling over these lakes. About 4 to 5 hours.

DAY 12: Avalancha - Punta Yanayacu Pass (4850 masl) - Huaraz.

This day we ascend to the Punta Yanayacu Pass, our last pass in our circuit, from where we can observe mountains as Chopicallqui (6354 masl), the south peak of Huascarán (6768 masl), Ulta (5875 masl), Chucllaraju (5575 masl) and Chequiaraju (5286 masl), then descend  through Cancahuapampa Valley and reach the Ulta Valley, where our prívate van will be waiting for to take us back to Huaraz city.
