DAY 1: Huaraz - Olleros - Sacracancha Camp(4080 masl).

We leave from Huaraz city by van  towards South of Callejon de Huaylas, passing through the village of Olleros, and reach the Hacienda Angocancha, where we meet the donkey drivers and donkeys, the trekking starts here, we walk through the Uquian valley, observing some thatched houses, after one hour of walking we observe mountains such as Shaqsha (5632 masl), Cashan (5716 masl) and we camp in the Sacracancha valley. About 5 to 6 hours.

DAY 2: Sacracancha - Yanashallash Pass (4700 masl) - Shongo Camp (3850 masl).

This day we walk uphill, observing  the Inca Trail, the glacier of Urushraju (5722 masl) and many small lakes, and cross the Yanashallash Pass, then walk downhill to the Campsite in the Shongo valley, with presence of kids, sheep, cows, etc. About 7 to 8 hours.

DAY 3: Shongo Camp - Castillo Camp (4350 masl).

We descend to the Jato village, where  population dedicates to the farming, then descend through Alhuina valley, observing waterfalls and a small lake, and reach the Castillo Campsite at the foot of Huantsan (6359 masl), from the campsite we can observe other mountains as Rurec (5700 masl), Uruashraju (5722 masl) and Santa Rosa. About 5 to 6 hours.

DAY 4: Castillo Camp- Portachuelo or Santa Rosa Pass (4850 masl) - Rimarima (4300 masl).

Portachuelo or Santa Rosa Pass will be our second and last Pass to cross, from the path can observe mountains such as Santa Rosa  and the southeast face of the Huantsan (6395 masl), then walk downhill through the Rimarima valley, where we can observe beautiful flowers with the same name “Rimarima”, then reach the  Rimarima Campsite. About 5 to 6 hours.

DAY 5: Rimarima - Carhuascancha Valley (3935 masl).

We walk uphill to a wide camp of ichu called Mesapata (4600 masl), from a natural lookout we can observe mountains such as Santa Rosa, Huantsan (6359 masl), Tumarinaraju (5668 masl), San Juan (5843 masl), Maparaju (5325 masl) and Cayesh (5721 masl), as well as many picturesque lakes, then walk downhill to the Carhuascancha Campsite. About 6 to 7 hours.

DAY 6: Rest day (Optional).

Visit the Llanganuco lake or Ichic Potrero lake. Enjoying the magnificent mountains surroundings.

DAY 7: Carhuascancha Valley - San Marcos - Huaraz.

From our way we observe houses made of adobe and ichu roofs, passing through the San Marcos and Chavin villages, in this second village we make a stop for a while for visiting the Arquaeological Complex of Chavin, the oldest andean culture of Peru. then return to Huaraz city.
